Wetlands Info

Within our subdivision, we have a wetland area that is considered protected land by a Conservation Easement.  Due to this protection, there is very limited action we can take to modify anything on this property.   We are able to take of any issues that would present a danger to someone, or to property.  Example of this is a dead tree, or trees/branches growing into the public area.  Below is a ariel image with the protected land outlined in Purple.

The area to the top right of the protected land is an area that handles water overflow before it eventually heads out of the sub through drainage pipes.  After many years of natural vegetation growth, this area has become overgrown and filled much higher than designed.  This is resulting in the inability of water to flow as it should.  This causes the water to remain in large pools in all of the protected land and beyond, causing issues with bugs, and smell.  The HOA is currently undergoing work to understand how to remedy this, as its required by the city for us to return this area to the correct grade.  We will communicate the plan and the cost of this activity when we determine the best course of action.
